That gentleman knew James well; they were colleagues at the time. He looked extremely surprised and said, ‘James and solution? You must be mistaken.’

I smiled, wondering if we were talking about the same James. After all, it is a common name.

I quoted many examples from the past and explained how he used to offer us quick solutions. I spoke of how his ability to resolve issues was recognized by the senior management, which earned him recognition and promotions.

The gentleman was not ready to agree with me and said, ‘He is intelligent and knows his job well. But I am not too sure about his ability to resolve issues. I think since he is too sharp and has the most complex mind. I have not met any other person who can complicate simple issues so much.’ He did not appear very pleased with James.
